I’ve been busy with work, a sprained ankle, an out-of-town trip and more work. I guess it’s a good time as any to catch up.
Lately i haven’t had much time to really work on personal projects, but a scribble or doodle project here and there has keep me going and hoping that my postcards will finally see the light of day before the year ends. A sneak peek of the new postcard set which I’m selling by late October is up on my site, so i do hope you guys get a chance to buy some for the holidays
As much as September is keeping me busy, October lurks with far more activities! Yes, it’ll be Halloween, so there’s much to do — what costume will i wear this year? Which parties will we attend? What will i do for my birthday!?
Plus, since it’s only days away from Christmas time which means lots of things to get ready for!
Check out what’s new with my friends these days– be sure to catch some fabulous sights and things of New York from my friend Peanut through her new blog, Everyday New York. It’s inspiring and shows some beautiful spots of New York that you rarely see as a tourist.
If you’re into traveling with a restricted budget, get some real life tips and advice from backpackers Ron and Monette as they guide you through their travel blog, FlipnTravels. They give you a low down of food, local culture, where to stay and what to try out in some of the most awesome places in Asia and the Philippines.
Reading through their blogs, i’m getting all excited to travel myself! I’m so looking forward to my trips this coming October — first stop Singapore! It’ll be my second time to visit the lovely city, but i still have so many places to see!! Any suggestions where to go and what things are a must-try? Gimme a holler via my twitter. I appreciate all the suggestions and gimme a holler too if ever you’re in the area.
So many things to look forward to! i’m so excited! It will be full of fun and activities for sure, all of which i am raring and thrilled for. I Can’t Wait!

Mio Fights Cancer is a benefit concert to raise funds for a 5 year old boy with Leukemia. Let’s begin a series of miracles on that day. We’ll be inviting Mio’s chemomates so they can witness miracles the way we have. They are the tesimonies that Mio, like them, will grow up to have a normal life in spite of cancer. Whereas, Denise and her friends namely Maja, All Stars, Young JV, Marcus Davis, Jay-R, Kris LAwrence, Carla & Nikki Guevarra, Salamin, Kjwan, Kaye Abad, Archipelago & Pupil (of which one of Mio’s ninongs is a member of, Yan Yuzon), Imago, Severo, JP David, Akafellas, Saab & Maxene Magalona, The Pin-Up Girls, among others will prove that goodness knows no status in life or friends or strangers… its just plain kindness and the innate goodness of people sharing their miracles and making them happen everyday. Its hosted by Sarah Meier-Albano, Mo Twister, Grace Lee & Mojo Jojo. Proceeds of the concert will go to Mio Mendiola’s Medical Treatment.

I’ve always imagined myself having a glass of chilled white wine seated nearby the beach while listening to Kings of Convenience. The vibe, not exactly beachy, is soothing, sweet sounding lyrics paired with lovely melody that invites you to listen.
I can’t remember when i first listened to Kings of Convenience, but from that first time, i was hooked. Their song “i Don’t Know what i can Save you From” was haunting and melodic and even sounded good remixed into a dance song. While most songs would be reminiscent of bittersweet love and interesting twists of relationships, but the beats are often surprisingly catchy and sweet, masking the lyrics in its wake. The sheer versatility of their sound makes me want to listen to them over and over again.
Their upcoming album, Declaration of Dependence, is out in October, something that has me excited and eager to listen and satiate the inner audiophile in me. Ah, October can only come so soon.

Trying out my hand on styling at Looklet.com. Ok, i’m getting addicted to it
If you like it, gimme a heads up via votes. (yeah, i’m learning a lot from all this…hahahhaa!)
Looklet.com has got me channeling my inner fashionista! This site is a pure joy to those who are into fashion, love fashion, or just plain want to try out coordinating their clothes (or dream clothes, when it comes to myself). This site has several collabos with retails stores, one of which is my fave H&M (yay!).
In fact, H&M designed it to be part of their website, aptly entitled “Fashion Studio“. You’ve got the power to browse through their collection, pick out pieces and assemble it on you “model”. I’m definitely feeling a lot like Cher (of Clueless) right now — remember that scene where she picks her school clothes via a computer? That “thing of the future” is here indeed, and well niched into our techno-filled life. How fun is it to creating make your outfit/wardrobe before hitting the stores to make sure everything’s coordinated? It definitely saves you time and effort, plus, the fashion studio also enables you to save your “creation” for future reference. Neat-o!
How gorgeous is that blush colored gown by Monique Lhuillier? Drew Barrymore wore this in this year’s EMMYs, in which she was nominated for best actress for her role in Grey Gardens (her co-star, Jessica Lange, won). I love how radiant she looks in her gown (that makeup totally brings out her luminous beauty). It’s visually stunning indeed!
